The idea behind this build was to test out the tonality of the Camphor Laurel timber on a bass scenario. Being tuned E to C, this 5 string is far from being traditional, it has the string spread of a 6 (16mm) at the bridge, allowing for a fast playing technique and chords, but it has the neck of a small 5 string, with 44mm at the nut. It is truly a one-off instrument that could complete a quirky collection or could be your new all-rounder!
