Supernova
This guitar was built sometime in 2013. It’s based on a Gibson LesPaul model, it’s one of our oldest project that we have traces of. The body is fully hollowed construction with Mountain Ash back and sides, topped with a Birch Burl. The neck is a one piece Victorian Ash with a Pacific Blackwood fretboard. The headstock is matching to the top. The pickup rings are handcrafted in solid Ebony. The top is hand stained and gloss finished with Nitrocellulose lacquer. All black hardware with Spertzel Tuners, Gotoh bridge. This guitar has no back plates and all the electronics were fitted through the pickup cavity - quite a challenge - the pickup splits through the tone and volume control for a large amount of tone combinations. It’s lightweight, resonant and balanced. A very versatile and comfortable instrument.
As with any stories of any company, some memories get lost in transitions. We have lost many photos of a lot of guitars we have worked on and built over the years. This is the only ( high quality) photo we have left of this guitar. It was sold through one of the local guitar shop on commission. We never knew who the lucky owner was… Enjoy!
